St Pius X
Mr. Thomas Cook

B.Ed. University of Toledo

I attended Catholic schools throughout my elementary and high school years along with my three siblings, and firmly believe in the solid faith foundation these school communities create for children, especially in such formational years of life. During my college years, I spent time working for the YMCA, and I have 4 years of experience as a childcare provider at the Wolf Creek branch where I worked with large groups of children from Preschool up to the 6th grade. It is that experience which truly solidified my desire to teach and mentor young children, as I realized the impact a positive male role model such as myself could make in the life of a child.

I am very excited to join the St. Pius community and partner with families to ensure their children’s academic, as well as social/emotional success. In my classroom, we will adopt the “Growth Mindset” as our guide for the year as we work hard and explore multiple learning methods in our quest for continual progress. When we come across challenges, we will only say “I don’t know how to do this, yet”, because we believe that we have the strength to accomplish everything through Christ.

I look forward to working with you and your child!
