Annette Lohman

Nurturing and teaching young children is my life’s work. I started out with an associate degree in early childhood education from Owens Community College. As I began raising my four children, I worked in several preschool and childcare settings including the Extended Day program at St. Pius X.

When my youngest child started preschool, I went back to the University of Toledo and graduated in 2004 with a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education. In the fall of 2004, I started working at St. Pius as a teacher’s aide and then also the reading specialist. Since then, I taught second grade for four years and fourth grade for three. I am excited to begin teaching first grade! I love the enthusiasm young children have for learning.

I am a member of St. Pius X parish. My husband, Jim, and our 4 grown children, Zach, Daniel, Marissa, and Caleb are all alumni of this wonderful school. They along with my son-in-law, Brad, and new little grandson, Kenny, are the lights of my life. Every year I look forward to getting to know my new students and their families. Together, we will help your child blossom in the ways God has planned.
